OVERVIEW del evento
El exPert Roadshow es un evento con características muy especiales
Durante el evento se habla de un solo caso y la solución se ve en tres sesiones; cada una enfocada en un aspecto específico (competencia, seguridad e innovación)
Este evento tiene mucho cuidado de tocar temas que tengan aplicación en la vida real y son construidos por expertos de la región (tú podrías ser uno de ellos en la próxima edición)
El Keynote tratará del por qué de crear software orientado al usuario y por qé deben haber actualizaciones
El CloseNote consolida los temas del día (el resumen)
eXpert Roadshow 2008: EL CASO Islas del cielo (ficticio)
Las islas del Cielo son un paraíso con gran atractivo turístico. Justamente por esa razón la industria turística es muy importante. La isla tiene fuerte presencia del estado (incluyendo a la agencia principal de turismo)
En su afán de mejorar el atractivo turístico y diferenciarse de otras ofertas turísticas han iniciado un proceso de consultoría y los consultores contratados le han explicado que la solución es Software as a Service al estilo Google (usando los servicios de Google Maps)
Antes de implementar la solución, el equipo técnico de la Isla aprovecha la visita de unos turistas expertos en tecnología Microsoft para preguntarles su opinión… y eso es lo que se verá en el evento.
SESION 1 (competencia y S+S)
Objetivos
1) Explicar S+S y diferenciarlo claramente de SaaS.
2) Demostrar que S+S es lo mejor de los dos mundos, uniendo en un “continuo” tanto las aplicaciones en las nubes, como las aplicaciones dentro de la empresa
3) Demostrar que Microsoft tiene tanto las herramientas de construcción (Visual Studio 2008, tecnologías necesarias para S+S, APIs, Windows Mobile, etc.) para construir aplicaciones S+S como el modelo conceptual que acompaña a S+S
4) Demostrar que Google si bien habla sólo de SaaS en realidad también aplica S+S, por ejemplo con Google Earth cliente pesado.
Demos
1) Demo de con WPF accediendo a un servicio de Google (crearemos el cliente para google earth)
2) Demo desde Mobil para almacenar fotos en la “nube” (usar la nube como un disco externo)
3) Mejora de la aplicación anterior con envío de información Georeferencial para “localizar” el lugar donde se tomaron las fotos (y compartirlas con TODO el mundo… es público). Esta demo incluye Encoding, filestream, y streamming con Silverlight.
SESION 2 (seguridad)
Objetivos
1) Demostrar como levantar el nivel de seguridad una aplicación, demostrar que se cuentan con las herramientas que garanticen esto
2) Demostrar que muchas herramientas, como WCF, ya son seguras Out of the Box
3) Demostrara que asegurar los datos, que son uno de los puntos más vulnerables, es mucho fácil con SQL 2008 (cifrado completo de la BD, para los angloparlantes cifrado es “encriptación” )
4) Demostrar que además existen formas de asegurar que las comunicaciones inter aplicaciones sean confiables, que si se usan los protocolos adecuados puedo confiar que los mensajes van a llegar (WCF usando TCP y guaranteed message delivery)
Demos
1) Extender la aplicación de la sesión 1 agregando los datos para crear la lista de quienes pueden ver las fotos.
2) Mostrar como las tramas de WCF están aseguradas sin programar nada, mostrar lo que pasa por el cable, usando Fiddler, y mostrar que no se puede leer nada. Demostrar que para poder ver lo que pasa por el cable, o sea bajar el nivel de seguridad, debo configurar WCF.
3) Cifrado de una BD de SQL 2008 en forma transparente para el programador. No se debe tocar ni una línea de código.
4) Demo de WCF garantizando la entrega de los mensajes, y además la secuencia.
SESION 3 (WOW)
Objetivos
1) Mostrar que hay WOW (o sea que es bacán, chévere, bonito, excitante o el sinónimo de mostro que quieran) desde el desarrollo hasta la aplicación implementada, es decir toda el ciclo de vida de una aplicación.
2) Demostrar que WCF es fácil
3) Demostrar que WF es fácil
4) Uso de Silverlight 2.0 y deepZoom como Wow, mostrar que es fácil de hacer.
5) Demostrar tipos de uso de Visual Studio 2008
Demo
1) Es la misma demo que Silverlight Airlines aumentada con Tarifas, Reservas (ver si hay espacios disponibles) y Videos de Sugerencia (o lo que se nos ocurra)
